Minor students employed in the state of California must have a Permit to Employ and Work (commonly known as a "work permit"). Work permits are typically issued by the school where the student is enrolled. To obtain a work permit, THIS FORMsigned by the employer, student, and student's guardian must be completed and returned to the school.  After review, the school issues the work permit.
